I know it has been a while since I have posted. things have been very hectic. we (my husband and I) found out at the last minute that we were moving for work and so have been spending the last few weeks trying to sell our house, buy a house, get organized etc… Then my mom needed surgery so we were off to Quebec for 2 weeks helping through the hospital period and then once she was back home. A lot of my things are already packed up (including ALL my craft stuff) so I won’t be making any cards for a few weeks yet but I am still around, surfing the net and checking out all the lovely crafting blogs.
That being said, I could not resist posting about Anki’s wonderful blog candy – because it is for Hanglars! I love those stamps and they are all but impossible to get in Canada unless you manage to win one of the EBay auctions (and they go quick!). So check out Anki’s blog HERE.
take care!

Hi everyone, it’s like crazy late (early) here and I still have not gone to bed – what am I thinking? I always know I am going to regret it in the morning and yet I still don’t learn my lesson. In other news, Mark and I have been told that we will be posted to Petawawa so we are mentally preparing for that. We weren’t expecting to move this late in the season but the military certainly keeps us on our toes. I guess we will see what happens.
This card was created using Card Patterns sketch #69. I really liked this sketch because the design was simple and sometimes I don’t feel like getting overly creative and simple.just.works.

Supplies:
- Basic Grey patterned paper
- Basic Grey Rhinestones
- Stampin’ Up sentiment
- Prima flowers
- Magnolia rubber stamp (Postbag Loveletters)

How’s everyone’s week getting along? For me things are chugging along nicely. I am hoping to get through the week just so I can be lazy this weekend and get a good sleep. Seems like there is *always* something going on around here, by the time I sit down it’s almost 9:00pm and normally I am ready for bed (but don’t usually hit the hay until midnight). My garden is doing well but here’s a word to the wise if you plant a garden: if you think you have enough room, you don’t! When I planted all my veggies there was loads of room around each plant (or so I thought). Today my garden is jam packed! I can’t believe how much room a broccoli plant takes up, or brussel sprouts for that matter. The tomato plants are getting out of control and I’m not sure where those cucumbers will end up. I put up a little mesh type of hanging fence in behind the cucumbers because I heard they will climb (I’ll let you know how that turns out). All in all, I am going to have some yummy fresh vegetables in a few more weeks
Okay, as far as crafting goes, I have several cards on the go right now, but only one completed. I used Sketch 107 at Friday Sketchers challenge blog.

I used a stamped image that I got from my friend Carla, I’ve gotta find out whose stamp that is – so cute! The patterned paper is from K&Co (Wild Saffron) and the sentiment is from Stampin Up.

Hey everyone, hope you had a great weekend. It rained here all day Saturday so I spent it tidying up the house and today it was nice out so I mowed the lawn and did some yard work. It is nice ti get things accomplished but much nicer to finally kick back and relax. Mind you, it is 9:30 pm and I have yet to really relax….
Anyhow, last night I made this card based on the Week 22 (Heathers colour challenge) at Basic Grey challenge blog. I was really happy with the colour combo and it worked perfectly for this “Thank You” card I am making for my son’s EA.

Supplies:
- Basic Grey patterned paper (Obscure, Hang 10)
- Cosmo Cricket ribbon
- MM glitter flourish
- EK Success border punch
- Magnolia stamp (Captain Edwin)

I tried out a new challenge blog this week. It is called “Everybody Art Challenge” and it is a fun and inspirational site. I love checking out new blogs and playing along, and most of the time I find a new cardmaker that inspires and motivates me to be creative in new ways.
The challenge this week was “summer” and I just bought some new 6×6 papers from Cosmo Cricket called “DeLovely” and they are not only very YUMMY but perfect for summer cards!

Supplies:
- Cosmo Cricket papers (DeLovely)
- Prima Marketing flowers
- Stampin’ Up sentiment
- Melissa Frances pearls
- Hanglar Stanglar stamp (Bumblebee)
- Martha Stewart border punch (doily)

Thank goodness it’s raining! I am not usually a big fan of grey skies and wet weather but my grass, plants, flowers and vegetable garden surely needed it. I haven’t had a chance to do much in my craft space, but I did get this card done during the weekend. I absolutely adore the Cosmo Cricket line of paper, everything I ever create with their products turns out great.

Supplies:
- Cosmo Cricket 6×6 (Material Girl)
- Basic Grey chipboard alpha
- Making Memories tiny alpha stickers
- Cricut “Wild Card” cartridge
- Magnolia rubber stamp (Patch Tilda and Heavenly Shelf)
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I ventured out to mow the lawn and WOW is it hot. The grass is turning brown and the township is starting water restrictions on Tuesday. That being said, my plan is to enjoy the summer as much as I can (in the shade LOL). The only big plan we have is our trip to Newfoundland this summer to visit Mark’s family. Ryan is certainly looking forward to it, it is all he talks about. Not sure if he is more excited about driving there in the new RV, or the prospect of riding a tractor in rural NL.
Anyhow, I did manage to make a card last night, I used one of my new Hanglar stamps which I call “Girl with Purse”, original I know…. The card was made using this weeks sketch #104 at Fridays Sketchers:

Supplies:
- K&Co Designer paper (Wild Saffron)
- Basic Grey Rhinestones
- Prima Marketing flowers
- Kaisercraft rub-ons

Hey everyone! Not much to say today, worked all day and rushing out again for errands tonight. The weather is awesome though and I have to stop myself from complaining that it’s too hot, because I certainly prefer this over the winter weather. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to put my feet yup with a cold drink and just enjoy…
I played along with Magnolia Down Under this week, I like trying out the shaped cards. I opted to use my Cricut to make this oval card and it looks awesome except it won’t stand up on it’s own so I was thinking it might be nice to hang on a flower or plant, like a tag. I’ll put an eyelet at the top and run some ribbon or twine through it. I really like how Dangling Tilda is hanging from the banner, you could have her hanging off just about anything really.

Thanks for popping by!
I hope everyone is enjoying some time off! My weekend has been nice so far; drove to Elora to see my sister yesterday and today got some stuff done around the house. Maybe not the most exciting weekend but it’s nice to just hang around the house with no plans and enjoy the day. Hopefully soon we will be done all our little projects and can enjoy a weekend with friends, food and a few beers
This week I decided to play along with the “Spoon Full of Sugar” challenge blog. This weeks challenge was “cute & girly” and I decided to use the older Magnolia stamp “Lille Skutte“ which I just call Baby Tilda. I used some MME paper which is glittered as well as some stickles and shimmerz to make it pop. You can’t see any of the glitter or shimmerz in the picture, which sucks, but I am still playing with my Nikon – trying to figure the settings out.

Well, it’s shortly after midnight and Saturday is officially over. I haven’t done much craft-wise today, which sucks, because my plan was to create all afternoon long. I should know better, LOL, my plans never seem to work out the way I intend. That being said, I did get a few of my cards listed for sale, as well as some stamps (see the page links above) so *something* on my “to do” list was accomplished.
I did get some cards done in the last few days. The first one is birthday card and I don’t think the picture really shows off the colours but I totally blame that on my new camera. Mark had bought me a Nikon D90 and I haven’t played with it enough so the pictures are still a little rough. I think I did finally figure it out though so the new “plan” is to get a card done (and maybe a layout) and then I get to play with the camera (hopefully the pictures will be a little better).
Anyhow, this birthday card was created based on the sketch by Andrea at Cute Card Thursday.

Supplies:
- Basic Grey paper (Cupcake)
- Melissa Frances rub-ons
- Prima flowers (hydrangea & rose)
- American Crafts photo corner
- Magnolia Stramps (Midsummer Tilda, Love Muffin)
This next card was the only thing I got accomplished today. I was playing with watercolours again and I like the look, I just need to get more comfortable and accustomed to working with the distress inks. If anyone knows where I can get a really good quality (and smooth) watercolour paper that won’t cost a fortune please let me know!
I am submitting this card for the Just Magnolia challenge where “anything goes“!
